A variety of boat trips are available. One of the main methods of transport throughout Paragauy are the cargo boats that go up the Rio Paraguay. These can be caught from Concepcion and offer the chance of a very cheap method of seeing the river and it’s wildlife while also seeing the river at work.

It is also possible to hire out larger boats such as this one to travel on the rio Paraguay. This boat comes with a captain and costs 100 US dollars a day. That price does not include fuel.
